We ventured over to Marysville this morning with Tanker 1 to support the Marysville Lions Club and the Australia Day parade. Appliances from Forest Fire Management Victoria, Taggerty Fire Brigade, Marysville Fire Brigade, Narbethong Volunteer Fire Brigade, and Buxton made an impressive sight.
Some of our Juniors also joined in the celebrations and rode on appliances.
The Triangle Junior Fire Brigade will kick off for 2025 on 15th February. The first session for the 2025 school year will be held at Buxton Fire Station from 6:30pm and any young person, aged 11 years to 16 years, are welcome to join in.
The CFA Junior Volunteer Development Program aims to introduce young people to CFA by providing them with the opportunity to become good fire safe citizens while engaging them in activities that, amongst other things, build their self-esteem and self-confidence.
The Triangle Juniors operates fortnightly, on Wednesday evenings between 6:30pm and 8:00pm, during school terms. Sessions are usually held at Buxton but may also occur at the other Triangle stations (Marysville, Narbethong, or Taggerty) depending on the activity. Dates are published in the Triangle News.
